I need to find out how much resistance each connection and any added wiring will add to the thermostats load. I plan to use two 11" wide pieces that will be approximately 6' long. There will be a total of 3 sets of connections with a section of wiring connecting the two that will be 8-12" long. The 11" tape runs at 20 watts per foot for a total of 240 watts from the tape alone, the thermostat is rated for 300 watts and I don't know if the connections and the wire used in the connection will push it over the limit or not.
