Did you see the post below that had solid colored tubs with windows installed? I'll post the link below.

This does not look quite as good as the Cambro boxes but can be a lot cheaper. You'll need to have windows on front and back to allow light through.

But to your question... $34 is a great price for the 26"x18"x9" Cambro box. So cheap I'm glad I never built my rack around those boxes last summer as I was prepared to pay in the low $40's for the same box.

The rope lighting will be a nice way to go and provide a small amount of heat. If you're room is cool it may require additional heat.

Cambro boxes have these short rails on the bottom so you could stick a small sheet of sheet metal that sticks under the boxes a few inches and to the back of the shelves. The rope lighting could be set on this and the sheet metal will distribute the heat nicely.

The gap is also perfect for heatpads or heat tape if you decide to go that route.

Are you going to make it so the boxes slide in width-wise or length-wise?
