Do you recall if your fiberglass had polyester resins in it? If so, did you use a finishing coat of wax hardener or were you able to skip that step?

I ask because your wood grain is showing up nicely without that slightly milky/waxy look that fiberglass resin can sometimes show. At least by the picture as it appears on my screen.

Also, did you apply it directly to the plywood or did you mix in fiberglass particles or cloth with the resin? By the picture it looks like you applied it directly without the fiber.

I've done that myself but then never ended up using the cages long-term. Just curious how it's held up?
