He was kidding somewhat. Corns aren't evil. What is weird though is that the pituophis, and especially the smaller forms, are pretty much ignored by many breeders even though these snakes make amazing pets and come in many natural and selectively-bred colors. People who like pits have got to wonder why cornsnakes have such a hold while pits go largely ignored. Maybe corns are evil after all.
