Oh can I ever relate to that! LOL! Ignorance runs rampant when it comes to snakes! I too have heard the story about them not growing outside their container. Some people won't listen to ya when you tell them otherwise either! I've got people I work with who only consider snakes as something you put on boots! So I get that garbage too. Especially since I live in the middle of North Dakota where I'm one of very few snake keepers. Much less a collection of them! But educating people can be fun too, especially when your invited to bring them for a talk like I did not too long ago for the boy scouts. Where I'm at all we have are garter snakes and closest zoo is two hours away so most kids are not exposed to the things I have. I've got to call around and see if I can do a public show of some sort some time. Cause sadly the school in town is not open to live animals. Cause teachers have wanted me in but Principal says no live animals. Sad!

: I was telling some people (ok, more like anyone who would listen) about my new little bullsnake and you wouldn't believe some of the things i heard. This one guy was telling me that i could save money by feeding my snake nothing but eggs because, you know, eggs are just as healthy as rodents. Oh, and also, snakes don't grow bigger than their enclosure, so i could keep my guy in a 10 gallon his whole life. I was trying to give this guy the right info, but he wouldn't listen. Scary, isn't it?? It was funny too, people were asking me why i didn't just go out and catch a bullsnake (they're native in kansas). once agian i was trying to explain why that wouldn't work. It was kinda like the old "flogging a dead horse" routine. Goes to show you just how misinformed the public is. Well, thanks for listening to me babble. Once again it's great to meet everyone, thanks for the warm welcome!!
