I once considered giving them quail eggs, but someone told me that unless I have quails and can give them a steady supply it's not worth it. You never know how they will react, they might want the new tastier food all the time and might even go off mice! Better to stick with what works, as long as they are pounding them they are fine. I am going to switch mine to dwarf hamsters soon, but I am breeding them because after tasting a hammy I don't think they will want to go back to mice. :)
