:i have a Bull snake. at least that's what it was advertised as when i bought it. i just want to be sure if it is a Bull. i think i might have offended someone earlier when i said i liked the color of their Bulls when they were actually Sonoran Gophers. sorry. this is the only one i've ever had. years and years ago i thought Bulls and Gophers were the same thing. i guess i need to get re-educated. what is/are the main distinguishing difference(s) between a Bull and a Sonoran Gopher? don't both have similar coloration and a line that goes from the eye to the angle of the jaw? this is a pic of my snake.

Bullsnakes usually have much more prominent rostrals that extend further into the internasals(giving them the appearance of having a much "pointier" looking head as they get larger). The best way to tell for sure is to try to trace the lineage. I'd say you have a bull judging from the pic. Nice one too!
