you got yourself an awesome Bull snake there. Nice colors and very clean patterns. The way I distinguish Bull from Sonoran Gopher is the pattern. In my experience Bulls, like yours, have larger octagon shaped dorsal blotches that are close together, and they less distingushing side blotches, where as the Sonorans have more of a squared blotches that are further apart. If I see a Sonoran with Bull-like blotches I think of it as bull or an intergrade.
