bull vs sonoran gopher

Hi, I know that are a subspecies of Pituophis melanoleucus, but they both look the same to me, what are the main visible differences? I have seen pictures of both and can never tell the difference. Also is it frowned upon to breed the two (not planning on it just wondering)?Thanks
