Using UTH in a rack...m

I'm going to be building my first rack, and because I have a number of Cobra UTHs I'll be using those for heating rather than flexwatt. I need to know if I should provide an air space under the boxes to keep the UTH from overheating, in addition to using a thermostat, and how much air space.
