I have a Ball that is about 2 years old. They are the sweetest snakes, but they are picky eaters. The only problem with that is you waste alot of mice/rats. My Ball hasn't eaten in almost 3 months, but she's still very fat. As long as she doesn't lose weight, it's no problem.

One thing, DO NOT buy a wild caught!! They are alot cheaper, but sometimes they will starve themselves to death! My friend bought one & it starved! Force feeding would not even work, even the liquid pumped in it's stomach. It would regurgitate everything!
