Baby corns (and most snakes) are squirmy. That isn't a bad thing. If you learn to handle a squirmy corn snake while it is a baby two things will happen -
1. it will calm down as it ages.
2. you will calm down as it ages.
It sounds like you may not be ready to start with a snake yet. Baby snakes are squirmy, so are many kittens for that matter (except a frightened kitten could really hurt you if it bit you, a baby corn snake couldn't)! Accept that, don't be afraid of them, and you will have a great pet.
