:I have seen many ferns used in outdoor habitat. The biggest downside to ferns is that most don't do well in direct sunlight. If the setup is under the shade of a tree or a big bush, then ferns make for good installations.

:I have never seen a boxie eat a fern.

Alright thanks Paul, still looking for some plants for the pen. The weather has been to bad to plant anything.
