especially young ones will stay clammed up for a LONG time if they feel threatened. Another possibility is that it is not alive any longer, although with a small one I would wonder why. I have found boxies that were clammed up tight, but were dead. Kind of wierd.

Kudos to you for returning the little guy back to it's home.
