Here's a zoomed in pic of the pen from last summer when the pen had just been built. The water pans are now surrounded by grass which does make the pans look more natural. The grass has really grown in the pen. It makes it harder to find the turtles, but they seem to like it as the younger ones (2 year olds) like to dig under clumps of grass and hide. I have 8 two year olds that were my first group of babies. They were born in a much smaller pen.
