I too am having a hard time finding boxies. I want ornates. I have a few already, but looking to expand my herd. I live in Tampa area of Florida. Any ideas would be great.


:i am already the proud owner of 2 eastern box turtles, gwenny and patrick. i offered to take patrick in an attempt to save his life when an acquaintance informed me that in order to get another pet, he had to either get rid of the turtle or kill him, so of course i took him in. about the same goes for my turtle gwen. since both of my easterns were rescued, i would like to know of a reputable source or method to purchasing a box turtle. i have looked in reptile dealers in my area, but they do not seem to sell box turtles. Thank you for any and all of your input!
