the Sipperly male was very interesting. I put the male in her enclosure and within minutes she was cruising the cage with her tail up in the air waving from side to side. I can only assume that she was releasing the pheromones to let the male know...hey I'm ready. When she was doing this you could see that her vent was slightly open so assume there are some glands near the vent. After this my male "Sol" who had shown no interst for months was all of a sudden all over her. The entire process was amazing to watch...watching the male courting and squeezing her to try to work his tail in the right position was kind of cool. This year was a true learning experience..and hopefully next year I will know what to look for.
