Premies and still-borns are associated with a high-percentage of infertiles (slugs). Premature birth is also known to be caused by feeding a meal too large and/or too close to delivery date. Body temps over about 90 degrees close to parturition apparently can also mess up the timing.
Barometric pressure can have an effect on birthing.. I do not know if that by itself would cause pre-mature birth.
