Good morning all and TGIF!!
Question, I have a small argument going on with a friend of mine. He has a Boa that has what looks to me like 3 scars on his back. HOWEVER, he says they have been there since the Boa was born. ??
Now if they are scars, when the Boa sheds, would the scar shed also or leave a hole in the shed where the scar was? I assumed they would leave a hole in the shed.
Well, this Boa just shed, all 3 of the places I thought were scars DID shed as well. In fact, the boa shed in 1 piece. When I unwrapped the shed skin you can clearly see the marks in the shedding and they did not leave a hole or anything like I thought. I was thinking a scar or skin damage would NOT shed. So who is right.. is is possible these are not damaged scales?
Anyone have a Boa with a KNOWN scar.. do they shed as well?
Now the marks are still there, I just mean when the Boa shed the shed skin clearly shows the marks. I was under the impression that there would only be a hole if it was a scar or damage.
Thanks
