If your mom say no that obviously means no, however if you feel that your ready and moms cool with it then go for it. Too many people on this forum will tell you your not ready (even the ones that sell them to complete strangers), but you sound to me like you have lots of experience and passion. Good luck, and buy a captive bred one :)

:Ok my mom doesnt believe i am ready for a red-tail boa, she wants to know the full grown size, what do they eat full grown and how are their temperments. i told her they get around 6-8 ft and eat adult rats and are great for their temperments, she also thinks it will eat my small dog, this will be my 10th snake and i am really getting a good deal so i really want it so can somebody aswear this for me? Thanks David Hiscock
