I used to keep records on paper but things got a bit messy (I like a really clean log book!!!), so I now use the MSN calendar option from hotmail. I like it because I can check it from anywhere and if my pc konks out, I don't lose any data.

I'm not sure how long the "records" are kept in the calendar but it's more than a year.
