The last few years I have had much better luck being somewhat paranoid.I rarely turn the lights on in the room once the snakes are somewhat along in the process and tend to tiptoe around like a nut.As Chris N could tell you when he was here a few weeks ago,I felt a little silly, but I use a small flashlight and other than the overhead red lights in the cage, those are the only lights I will regularly turn on.It probably means nothing, but it seems as though that has worked quite well the last few years.I just plain old don't bother them. When they move,I use my little flashlight to spot clean, but that is it.

Now that I have posted this,I am destined to have nothing but slugs for the rest of the year.
