If your using a screen lid, then thats where I would start - you should cover up 3/4 of the top (hell even 1/2) to allow humidity to be trapped inside.. ontop of that you should mist your tank 3 times a day. Or you could get some small rubbermaid/sterylite bins to make a humid hide - which works extreemly well. Just fill the bin with some moss and mist it ocassionally. Normally I just mist all my tanks (they are not screened), but have placed some humid hides in a couple of my tanks.. the humidity stays at about 80+ and I spray it down only once a week.
: I have a 85gl tank for my boa and i'm having real trouble keeping it humid. My boa just shed yesterday and it was not a good shed at all. I do have an under tank heater that i keep his water dish on. That get's it up to about 40% on a good day. The shed kahn just had left his head unshed. I did give him a bath to try to loosen the unshed shin but that didn't help, what else can i do? please advise
: thank you. David
