I have no idea how much 30 dollars Canadian. If canadian dollars are smaller than American dollars, than that almost suspiciously cheap. You don't want to start out with dehydrated, parasite loaded, half starved, mouth rotted fresh imports. Better to pay a bit more and get nice ones. Now if the store can guarantee that they're healthy and well started (and if you know the difference when you go to pick them up), they're really awesome animals. I've seen a lot of WD's with mouthrot, though, so watch for brown jawlines.
