Northern Fence Lizard - Sceloporus undulatus hyacinthinus

I live in MO, too and use the Mo Dept of Conservation website to check on things: Dept of Conservation Website

I'd say keep him in a screen-topped fish tank (or something like that), with an incandescent bulb in a dome fixture over it to provide a warm spot of about 90F. There should be cooler spots, of course, and turn the light off at night. Put in leaves for him to hide under and sticks for him to climb on. Feed him small-to-medium crickets. Lightly spray the tank with water once a day so he can drink.

don't keep him too long. This is breeding season, and he (or she) has a job to do! If you keep the lizard for more than a few days you'll have to spend money on calcium and vitamin supplements and UV lighting.
