I know of RETICULATED pythons, however. It does'nt sound like you had a pleasant experience with that snake, or maybe it was the other way around. It also sounds like your choice of reptiles is'nt very good either. A Nile monitor definitely is'nt a beginner or even intermediate-level lizard. I would suggest doing lots of research and getting an animal more fitting to your skill level.
