If I were you, I'd put a two inch layer of rinsed gravel down on the tank bottum and cover that with a soil mixture that was 2 parts fine/small grade orchid bark, 1 part sand, and 7 parts fine peat moss. Put about three inches of that down. Stick a double fluorescent light fixture over the tank plus basking light and heat pad. Run the lights with a timer. Grow some bromeliads, philodendron, and other stuff. Then add a mixture of critters: anoles, grass lizards, tree frogs, etc.
