bearded dragon help

okay, so I adopted a dragon yesterday becuse the owner didn't have the time to take care of it, or being 16 the funds!
so now what? Sand or bed-a-beast?
under the tank heater or lamp?
pinkies (wich by the way she just loves to eat) or just crickets and fruit and veggys?
I haven't a real big clue if you haven't noticed.
I've named her Gretchen becuase she just looks like one and I really want to get her in good shape...please help
