Ohhh Forgot about the whole screen flip. When I do that with my spare tanks its usually for temporary snake housing (of course that was before rubbermaid started with sooo make clear big containers.)

:Not that involved in simply flipping it over, but without custom work such as cutting the glass of the then top (was a side), and installing screen is a PITA, and kinda needed for a proper basking spot, not to mention if one wanted UV exposure.
:No dispute on the Rubbermaid wishes! My wish would be to see a product such as the pre-fab pull out drawer storage units, with CLEAR plastic that is 3' wide, 18"-24" deep and 18"-24" tall each drawer!

::But setting it sideways wouldnt be that involved. That was the reason for suggesting it. Personally I prefer the rubbermaid line of caging. ;) MUCH Cheaper and it is not made of glass. NOW If rubber maid made things 7 tall 5 wide 5 deep I would be in heaven. That may go for like 50 buck... :) OK wishful thinking...

:::Unless the cage was laying on it's side (3' is the height correct?) it would not be suitable for a blue-tongued skink. 2'x1.5' of floor space for a terrestrial 20-24" lizard...nope...
:::A tank of those demensions you would want something arboreal that would require the height more than the floor space.
