In Reply to: Sick, Dead & Poor Living Conditions for Petco Reptiles! posted by eric on June 30, 2002 at 08:18:16:

To be perfectly honest the conditions at Petcos around my home (Minneapolis) are not all that bad. Some are better then others, but I've been to specialty stores that were leauges worse then theres. The really bad one's are Petsmarts. I've never seen so many sickly animals. Not to mention wrong statistics for some of them (since when do Beardeds fit comf0rtably in 10 gal, and Water Dragon's reach only 10 inches!!!!) Not only that, when I was buying a leopard the lady was attempting to grab them by the tails( sadly non of the Lizards in that tank 20 in total lived for more than another week, including the one I purchased) I saw, if you can't take care of them, and give them proper treatment, then you shouldn't have them. More needs to be done to help the treatment of helpless Herps. MORE POWER TO YOU!!!!
