In Reply to: What is the best lizard to get for an eight year old? posted by Desiree on May 03, 2002 at 15:17:21:

If an eight year old can keep a hamster they can keep a leopard gecko. It's easier to get out of the cage, a lot less likely to bite, and won't leave you bleeding if it does. Just remind him to be gentle and especially watch the tail, and make sure you check up on it a lot. My cousins are around that age and have an anole that does fine (they don't handle it).

: My son caught a fence lizard but I think we might let her go. He wants a lizard that he can hold.Do you have any suggestions?
: Thanks,Desiree
