In Reply to: Im ordering lobster roaches, more........ posted by LindsayMarie on May 13, 2003 at 16:10:25:

I breed lobsters, orange heads, discoids, orange spots,4-spots, and death heads. I recently sold all my hissers, and am planning on getting rid of my lobsters. They are WAY to much hassle for a feeder roach. Although they breed like flies, they are fast and can climb like crazy. The only real way to keep them is to buy a sealent and apply it to any cage you plan on feeding them in. All the other species I mentioned do not climb and are great feeders. It takes some time to get a large colony, but they are good feeders, especially for babies. I always hated those pinhead and 1 week old crickets. Anyway, just a warning from someone who has had lobsters running everywhere. The only good news is that these are not pests and cannot survive well outside the proper conditions.

:Anyone else here keep or buy lobster roaches for their dragons to eat? I am going to order an already established colony and was wondering how others have done with theirs. My dragons have never had them before so I am praying they like them! Any personal experiences with lobster roaches and info would be great! thanks, Lindsay
