Topsoil for nesting?

Lily is gravid. I already have some sand in a box in her enclosure. Up to this point I haven't found any potting soil without chemicals to mix with the sand. I just bought a bag of topsoil that I think will do. My question is--Does the topsoil need to be sterilized before I put in in her cage?
