A safe night time temperature for young Beardies

I am converting part of my garage to house reptiles and it gets fairly cold in here. It is unheated but I live in southern california so it probably drops to about 60 at night, maybe lower on cold nights. I know adults can handle fairly low nighttime temps but what about younger dragons (1-2 months)? Has anyone tried covering cages after the lights turn off like many people do with their bird cages?
