If you did ever need to put a beardie out of his misery, euthanize....don't freeze. Freezing is horrible to do to a reptile. I believe I read that ice crystals form and shred them apart slowly from inside their cells. I also read a blow to the head is more humane and quick although God knows I could never do that either. I'd suck it up and pay the money. HOWEVER, in this case your beardie sounds like he still has a will to live. Find a good home. I'm sure someone will make a great home for him. Keep us posted.
