:Sounds like she needs to lay eggs. Has she been with a male or around a male at all? Even if she hasnt it is possible for her to develop infertile eggs. The not eating and digging all day is definitely a sign (although I may be wrong). What I would do is either put plain old top soil piled real high on the cooler end of her tank or I would buy a rubbermaid 90 gallon or bigger container and fill it with top soil and let her go at it! My guess is she will dig a hole and start laying. Give her a couple days with the bin of top soil and if she still isnt eating and still is digging you might want to get a xray and see if she has eggs. I always had the best luck with seperate laying bins. I use one that is approximately 4 feet long or so, 15 inches wide and around 18-20 inches deep. I buy a couple 40 pound bags of top soil at wal marts and they usually lay within a day or two of putting them in there.

:I would also suggest bathing her in a luke warm bath. She might even drink for you as when they are close to laying they become very thirsty.

:Have you tried adding baby chicken food or Zupreem brand baby bird formula to the water in a syringe and dripping it on her nose? Sometimes they need the liquid to have some taste to it in order to readily lick it. You can even try baby fruit.

:ALso you will want to add a heat source and light to the laying bin as well. Just make sure it isnt too hot and keep the soil moist so that it packs well, otherwise it will keep cavng in on her when she tries to dig a hole.

:Goodluck, Keep us posted. Lindsay
