I keep my hatchling iguana in a 20 gal for now and I use a 60 watt over its basking area.. and a zoomed 5.0 for uva/uvb.. cool end temp is about 75-80 and hot end from bottom to basking is 85-105.
:Hey guys I am ALMOST ready to purchase my hatchling but I have a few ?'s! What heat lamp/basking lamp should I use. I have read a lot about the ZooMed Basking Spot Bulbs. Do you guys recommend those? All I need is a basking buld right, as far as heating.. In a 20 gallon tank what wattage do you recommend. I was planning on using a dimmer and a digital thermometer to make a designated basking area of 105. I heard the ZooMed Basking bulbs only last a few weeks.
