Christy is right, for just heat and basking a household bulb in a dome reflector is fine. You should also provide uv light. To do this you can get a fluorescent hood and put a zoomed bulb in it. They need replacing roughly every 6 months. The alternative is a mercury vapor bulb. They are all in one, heat uvb uva and light. They are expensive and are known for not being that durable.
