LOL....my Punkin will only eat her crix handfed. She has me trained but I don't mind, she is one of my sweetest dragon.

:First of all, I'm a snake person. But then you get known at work as "that reptile person" and people tell you things...like that their girlfriend works at a pet store who is practically giving away a juvenile bearded dragon because he was cannibalized and had to have an entire foot, 1/4 of his tail and two additional toes amputated. At least they didn't throw him away--they did seek proper medical attention. So...we go see him and home
:Spike comes. Brown as dirt, dehydrated, listless. He's in a small plastic critter carrier with a handful of iceburg lettuce and crickets. I remind myself that at least they sought proper medical care and bite my tongue. After a week of shots and proper food, light/heat and sun he perks up. Becomes the prettiest yellow fellow. Entirely too much personality for his own good and spoiled ROTTEN! Two months later all his sutures are out, he's well into his second shed and let us all note that the line I read somewhere "beardies do enjoy being hand fed" is the understatement of the year. Did I mention spoiled rotten?
:You know you've got it bad when you realize you are considering a pet for your pet...

:michele, probably soon to be the mother of two (well, fourteen, but two dragons!)
