Diet of Roaches?

My bearded dragon is still pretty small, 2yrs or so, but it seems that he enjoys chasing down giant roaches and waterbugs around his cage. We don't use bug poison around the house, so are these food items acceptable? He seems to be okay after engorging, so I'll keep doing it until someone on this forum tells me it is harmful.
