If the temperature is warm enough outside you could house one in a secure cage outside till you can afford the UVB lighting. Direct sunlight for an hour a day (or several times a week) should take care of it's UVB needs. Just make sure the cage he is in doesn't get too hot and he is safe from any predators..probably best to just sit outside with him for an hour when it's sunny and at least 75 F out. Don't leave him out in a glass cage though as they over heat fast.
