Adults do not shed very often, our several adults have a wide range. three are about to shed again after at least 4 months, two have not shed for 6 months and don't appear to be ready to again, one is over 6 months I am sure and no signs of it.
Unlike babies that sometimes seem to be in a constant state of shed, adults have stopped growing.
I also think time outside in the sun and bathing seems to cause them to shed more.
