By "AC," do you mean alternating current, or air conditioning? Electricity is bad for all animals. Air conditioning can be bad if it keeps your critters enclosure too cold. I don't know of other problems with air conditioning. Most would say not to use metal screen, just because it won't allow you to keep the humidity in your enclosure high enough. There are many good caresheets available on the internet for BP's. The main things are: provide enough heat and hiding places, and feed appropriately.
