I wean mine from live to fresh killed and then to frozen thawed. Some snakes take several feedings at one level or another and some jump on anything. Keys to me are....get hemostats and teach them to take dangled food. Then move from live to fresh killed twitching, to fresh killed not moving to stone cold dead to frozen thawed. Make sure you thaw them totally and then warm them up on a heater or in very hot water for a sec. Go back a step if they hesitate on a step.
Get the BP Manual too...the Barkers include almost all the tricks to feeding etc and it is worth buying.
