Try to find a collector/breeder in your area, close to you. Then arrange with them the next time they purchase a large lot, can you purchase one. OR the next time they get in a "Female" who happens to be a "Male" can you purchase it for a good price?
I have a few right now that I bought as females. I suspect they are males. I am not willing to part with them yet as I do not have them as established feeders (And I want a second opinion on the sex, I may be mistaken).......once I have them feeding steady, and I get them sexed by another party, if they are males.....they will go very cheap to someone I consider a "Good Pet Home".....in fact I am even willing to give away unwanted males to "VERY Good" pet homes. (Sorry, I already have a couple people waiting to see if these are males I am willing to give away or not)
Also, look for your local Reptile Rescue, (Look on the internet and call your humane society to ask about reptile rescues). You will not get a "Free" ball from a rescue, but a very small donation will usually bring you home a beautiful adult.
