You�ll often hear that a reasonable rule of thumb is to feed a ball python a food item that is about the same diameter (or a little larger) as the snake�s thickest part. You shouldn�t go wrong with that. Another measure I use is to aim for a meal no more than 10% of the snake�s body weight. I can�t say how exactly I came up with that; it�s just always worked pretty well for me.
