:I have previosly owned a Ball and a Burmese but neither of the two ever so much as struck at me.. But my newest Ball has the temper of a Tiger, She strikes at nearly anything that moves near her.. I've only had her about a week now, is the problem that she just hasn't adjusted to her new home or owner yet.. Also I'm not afraid of being tagged, but just so I know how bad is it... She's about 3'.. Any hints on calming her down other than continuous handling..

honestly, i've been tagged a few times by my ball python (my 3' when i feed him since i have to dangle the PT, he get's really anxious and has hit me a few times by accident) and doesn't hurt at all really. they strike so fast with such sharp teeth that most of the time i don't even know he broke skin until it bleeds. the worst part is just the surprise of it, he always gets me when i don't expect it so it's a bit startling.

don't be concerned, but make sure to wash the wound directly afterwards to prevent infection and such. not a painful experience really. now a bite from something bigger...

Nate
