Sorry, I couldn't help posting another pic. These are #2, 3, and 4 to pip from this clutch. You undoubtably noticed that two of the ten eggs died some time ago. Husbandry error on my part. Conditions got a little on the dry side and I probably overcompensated. Anyway, moral of the story? Leave well enough alone. Now, not forgetting what I just said, I feel compelled to meddle again, My question is this: The first egg pipped about 24 hours ago (on the night of day 56, incubated at about 89 F), and these other three today. When should I manually pip the eggs if they dont pip themselves? I know many of you do this fairly early with all clutches, but I'd rather let nature take its course. At what point should I act? Also, any tips?
