Hello, all. My name is Zoe and I am new to this WHOLE snake everything. Zan is my ball python and I have posted a picture of him here. It is an aerial shot of him in his waterdish. I read up on a good deal of information before deciding on purchasing a snake. Ball pythons seemed an excellent choice for me, as they do not get as big as some of the other snake species. I have only had Zan for about a week, but I am SOOO in love with him. He looks to be starting a shed cycle, as his eyes are getting a little cloudy and his bright colors have faded a bit.
I read that he most likely will not want to eat during a shed cycle. Is that true? If so, today is feeding day and I guess I won't be making a trip to my local pet store.
I have Zan in 10 gal. tank now, as he is still fairly small. He eats small mice, one a week right now, and is such a sweetie:) I couldn't ask for a better disposition in a pet.
As for myself, there is a little bit about me in my profile. Most of it talks about my interests in photography and hemp jewelry making and medieval faire stuff. Those are my interests, and I will be finishing college with a Bachelor's degree in the Fall.
