the reason i think you shouldn't hold them is because they get all pissy probably because they cant see whats going on. and i guess it might be a little stressful. mine just shed this morning. his eyes were cleared up yestarday so i sprayed his cage three time that day and made sure his moist hidebox was good and moist, and sure enough thats where he did his sheeding. a nice one piece shed. i was proud after hearing about other peoples problems with shedding. i didnt think the colors had faded that much(ive only had him a little over a month) but then he shed and WOW what a difference. good luck
